How to remove remove recycle bin Icon

Now a days I communicate some peoples. Many of them want to clean their desktop as for the speed up machine. But they face problems during the deletion recycle bin. As in windows you can not remove it directly. Still you want to remove it then here is solution of it.

If using XP Pro

1. Go to START > RUN

2. Type GPEDIT.MSC

3. Navagate to USER CONFIGURATION >ADMINISTRATIVE TEMPLATES >Click on DESKTOP,

4. On the right hand pane find " Remove Recycle Bin icon on the desktop " , double left click on it to ENABLE it.

5. Sorted!


If using XP Home

1. Create or modify the following registry entry

2.HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\HideDesktopIcons\NewStartPanel
