Google announced that they has acquired Quickoffice, a company that makes mobile productivity apps for Android & iOS.
Google hasn't release the financial terms of purchase. Google+ is Google's social network or service which it sees as a central of future of its search business. Quickoffice will help with Google's core offering- its productivity offering including Google Docs and Google Drive.
Quickoffice apps, which are available for the iPad, Android tablets and other devices, provide word processing and spreadsheet tools. From the Google side of the equation, the search giant has the following asssets:
1. Android devices everywhere.
2. Google Apps integration with those devices.
3. And now Quickoffice, which serves as an almost office suite.
